May Long Weekend In Powell River

Grandma Dar got 2 new kitties and Jacob was really interested in their scratching post, he tried to climb inside!

Jacob and Dad on the ride-on
Too cute! Jacob was obsessed with the kitties, he was like Elvira "I want to love them and squeeze them!" Now that we're home he keeps trying to pull the cats on his lap, but they won't have it!
Well we headed to PR for the long beautiful weekend. We had a bbq at he park (which i'll post pics from later). Grandma bought Jacob a pool (pics to follow). Jacob had an allergic reaction the sunscreen, he's getting better now, but he was cover from head to toe in a scally rash!! poor guy!! Jacob had lot's of fun tormenting the new kitties!! Glad I didn't bring one home!!
I'll add more pics later.
P.S. Our friend Kat and Joe had their first baby on Saturday!! A baby boy, Benjamin - 9lbs!!! Way to go guys!!

Fun at the park...

Jacob climbing the ladder to the slide, all by himself!
Jacob, Linkyn and Nikao
The first time in his life that he fell asleep in his highchair, after I tried to get him to nap for over 2 hours! go figure!!
Our backyard project is almost complete. Our neighbour is putting up the fence panels and with all this rain will have lush green grass in no time!
The only thing left to complete is to fix the back gate, as Jacob keeps trying to escape across the alley to the neighbours house.

Just a quick update as it's time for Jacob to go to bed...we had our ultrasound last Friday and I'm not as far along as I wished that I was...I'll be 10 weeks this coming Monday with a due date of December 1st...hopefully no sooner, as we don't want to babies born on the same day and that's pretty close to November 27th.

Dave took Jacob on their first road trip to Powell River, this past Monday and Tuesday, as Dave had to go for work. I couldn't go 'cause I had to work Monday night. Jacob had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Fair. It was also Dave's 29th birthday while they were there, which was really nice for him, he got a nice dinner and cake with his family!

Talk to you all soon

Hey everyone!
Sorry it's been so long since we've updated our blog...i've gotten all of your complaints. I haven't been feeling so hot these days, for those of you who don't know already, we're expecting baby #2 in November- we think. We'll know a more exact due date after our ultrasound tomorrow.
Very exciting, but i'm feeling very, very ill...not too much fun!!
Anyways, i'll try to stay more up to date on the blog. I haven't even been taking very many pictures in the past couple months, so i need to get back on it!!
Jacob is growing like a weed and keeping us busy and me exhausted!!
Keep in touch.

14 months old...

Brooklyn and Jacob cruising in the Bug!
Say "cheese"!!
Jacob helping Dad fix the sink...
"Don't worry Mom, I got it all under control!"
Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long since we've updated our pictures!
Jacob is growing and changing every day! He's saying "hi", "Mom", "Dad" and a lot of jibberish...he laughs at his own conversations, so he obviously understands what he's saying!!
We've been going swimming almost every week, Jacob is very quiet at the pool, he sits back and watches what's going on. He loves the water though!!
We've also been going to Strong Starts, play group at the elementary school near by. Jacob loves it, he's so busy and gets into everything but it's nice to get ideas for things that he might like to do at home.
We just finished a Kindermusic class, which Jacob loved!! He really loves music, maybe he'll play the drums one day like his Grampa Doug or the guitar like Uncle Lenny!!
Anyways, Jacob's asleep and Dave's in Vancouver so it's time for some "me" time...or maybe i'll just go to bed since Jacob is still getting me up at least twice during the night!! 14 months with no sleep, good times!!

Jacob's First Hair Cut....

Jacob's hair was getting really long, as you can see above...
So cousin Sheena came by to give him a little trim...Jacob says "bye bye hair"
Dad got in on the action, distracting Jacob with a bottle...40 mins later....
Jacob's trim turned into a full blown hair cut!

Our little baby is turning into a little boy more and more each day! He is looking especially mature with his new do! We intended to give him just a trim, but since his hair is so curly, it just made it go more wild. So after lot's of patients from Sheena and Jacob, Jacob's sporting a handsome new hair cut!!!
