4 months old today!!

So today is our little man's 4 month birthday - where does the time go?! Grandma Dar brought her video camera this weekend and on it was a video from when Jacob was 3 weeks old...he was really boring! lol..he just layed there, but we thought he was the most exciting guy on the block. He has changed so much, he's laughing and talking baby talk, he is really animated, he still isn't rolling but that's probably a good thing....oh and did I mention how big he has gotten?! We had our doctors appointment on Friday and Jacob is now 19lbs 13 1/2oz...and I thought he had leveled off with his growth spirt! must have been wishful thinking!!lol

Well we had another busy weekend with lot's of visitors. Friday we had our second Mom's coffee/Baby party, this time there were 8 babies, 2 toddlers, a 7 year old and Auntie Suz (11) came and helped out with all the kids!! Fun, fun, but super busy!! One of the girls has offered to have it at her house next time and I think this summer we'll have to start having them outside as there is getting to be quite a few of us!!

Saturday morning, Jada went to her new home in Comox with her new Mom and Dad, Linda and Jim. It was very hard and very sad for me to let her go, but for the best. I've already gotten emails from her new Mom who says that they are joined at the hip and that she loves Jada already! Orphan is missing her, but Grady is gloating as Jada drove him nuts. Dave is covering his happiness for the sake of my feelings. I'm missing her tonnes, she was such a part of my life, and it's going to take a while for me to get used to not having her around. Luckily I have our little man to keep me busy and distract me...

On Monday, we had more visitors...Nana T, Auntie Joan and Allison with Jacob's new cousin Jacyln all came to visit. Then Sheena and her friend Nicole with her new baby Kellen came by in the afternoon.

For the past 2 days, Jacob has not wanted to sleep during the day and he has been fighting a bit of a cold...I'm also feeling a bit under the weather. We are both exhausted!! I got him down at 6:30 tonight but he's already been up once...looks like it's going to be a long night!!

Lot's of visitors...

Well we had Auntie Carolyn and Blake visiting last weekend and this weekend we have more visitors coming...Grandma Dar, Grandpa Doug, Uncle Danny, Auntie Jenn, Elvis?? and maybe even Auntie Sam. It's a good thing that we have a big house!!
To update, we went swimming last week and Jacob was pretty overwhelmed by the pool but I think that he loved it. He was pretty quiet, which is unlike him, as we floated around and by the end he was kicking and starting to be more vocal. We may go back today with Mel and the kids if I can get the house cleaned up and get my s*%! together in time.

Jacob is still teething like crazy!! He's constantly drooling and putting everything in his mouth. I don't think that he's growing as fast anymore...we're going to see Dr. Schulson tomorrow so we'll weigh him and let you know.

Gotta get back to cleaning.

Ummm Dad, your hair tastes good!!

Why is it that our son wants to put everything in his mouth these days?? The other night he even latched on to my chin and tonight he tried to give my shoulder a hicky! lol...Anyways, Dave thought it was pretty cool that he had Jacob up on his shoulders tonight...as you can see Jacob was holding on for dear life via Dad's hair with his hand and tongue!! haha
Jacob and Harrison just lounging around...wow Jacob looks big!! but Harrison is getting bigger though, he'll probably be fitting in Jacob's clothes somtime next year!! lol

Jacob and I are going swimming tomorrow for the first time with a couple other moms...should be lot's of fun. Too bad I didn't have a waterproof camera, maybe i'll buy a disposable. Jacob should be a blast as he is totally into his baths lately, hopefully the pool is warm enough for him!!

Baby Time

Hey everyone,

How's it going?? We're doing good. Jacob continues to grow and change daily...he's definately into screaming right now! It's not an unhappy scream, he's just exercising his vocal cords regularily!! He's been sleeping pretty good at night, but his naps got all screwed up this weekend. He definately thrives on routine and when Mom and Dad screw up his routine he tells us about it.

On Friday, I had a bunch of my friends over and their new babies. At one point there were 8 babies and 1 toddler!! It's so crazy, that I know so many people with babies!! All the babies are very close in age and it was neat to see how different they all are! I've posted some pictures of 6 of them together. Left to right it was Isabella (5 weeks), Jacob (3 1/2 months), Brooklyn (5 1/2 weeks), Levi (4 1/2 months), Addison (5 weeks) and Sebastien (3 1/2 months, 4 days younger than Jacob).

We had Nana, Papa, Uncle Sam and Auntie Suz for dinner last night which was nice. Auntie Suz helped with Jacob's bath and changed her first diaper.

Not much scheduled for this week...we'll let you know if anything exciting happens ie: rolling over, which he still hasn't done...I think he must be too big...lol

I can't believe it's snowing again...

Wow, what is up with this weather?? Even Jacob thinks it's blaa.. thankfully the snow isn't sticking right now. We still have a couple inches from our freak storm that we had a couple days ago...I can't wait for summer!!

Nothing much new to report with our little man. He's still sleeping pretty good through the night which is very nice!!

I've posted some pictures that I took this morning...check out the cool camo pants (thanks auntie katie!).

We've got errands and running around to do this afternoon so hopefully this snow buggers off!!
