Well I must be psychic!!!
So after completing my last blog entry, I woke up at 5:30am the next morning in labour!! Woohoo...2 days early!!! Taylor Evan Fair was born November 29th, 2008 at 1:48pm!
He's doing awesome and growing like a weed, as only my kids can do!! Jacob is a very loving big brother, almost too loving, and he doesn't really understand his own strength so at times he can be a bit rough with the little guy!!
The past couple weeks have been a big adjustment, but we're starting to get the hang of it. It's amazing how fast Jacob has grown up in just the past 2 weeks, his words are really coming along, he'll copy any word you ask him to try; he's also started to pee on the potty!! I've been plying him with popsicles and gummy bears and it seems to be working!!

2 Years Old - Where does the time go??
Wow, I can't believe our little man is 2 years old!!! I just finished updating his baby book...only took me 2 years to get it done...it was crazy to look through the pics and i was checking through his blog to add some info...good thing I was a better blogger back then!! Who has the time now with a crazy busy 2 year old and another due any minute...maybe it will be tonight as i'm finally feeling like i have everything done and ready!
Jacob had a very low-key b-day...we had dinner and cake at home with Grandma & Grandpa Warwick, Auntie Jess, Uncle Kyle, Auntie Michelle and James...Next year we'll have a bigger party, but for this year, low-key was perfect!!
Hmmmm....I used to write way more details about what was going on in Jacob's life...he's now 36lbs, wearing size 3 clothes...he loves to go out with Dave in the "gar..."which actually means truck or car, Dave and Uncle Jordan have been taking him up the mountain for "man time" which Jacob absoluetly loves! He's been out to chop wood and go fishing, and if you ask him if he wants to do either of these things, he goes "yaaaa" with great enthusiasm - so cute!!
He's still a crappy sleeper, but we continue to work on this...Dave had the brilliant idea to turn his door knob backwards so we can lock it from the outside and Jacob can't get out of his room and we don't have to stand their holding the door shut!! Nice work Dave!! I only plan to use this new locking system when he refuses to stay in his bed, ie: when he wakes up in the middle of the night and doesn't go back to sleep...wish us luck!
We've got our Christmas tree up already, we went out to Gogo's last Sunday and we were the only ones there...I asked Dave if he asked if we were the first in Nanaimo to get our tree (haha) but the guy said it had been busy on Saturday...this is the earliest that we've ever gotten our tree but i'm kind of on a "have to get everything ready" kick!!
Well, the camcorder is charged, extra batteries for the digital are packed, mine and the baby's bag is packed, the house is pretty clean and stocked with food, and we won't be having 2 babies with the same birthday, so hopefully we'll have the baby any day now...wishful thinking i'm sure!!!
Hopefully next time I blog it will be with a baby announcement!!

Halloween and a few more...
Our Halloween was pretty low-key this year. We didn't go trick or treating and Jacob wore Spiderman P.J.'s instead of a costume. Jacob handed out the candy for us, i kept saying "put one in the bag" and he would go "more, more" and add extras! Erika and Xander stopped by and we decided to go nextdoor to the neighbours, Jacob had lot's of fun, and i felt kinda bad having not taken him anywhere so we decided to go to Grama and Grampa's with his cousins. You would have thought he had been eating candy all night, he was so hyper and excited, it was hillarious.
We bought Jacob a kitchen for his b-day/ christmas present...no sense waiting to set it up!! He loves it. He takes all sorts of bowls, etc from my kitchen and puts them in their to cook with.
3 weeks and 5 days until baby #2 is due!!! Not that i'm counting!? lol

Grandma Dar & Grandpa Doug's 30th Anniversay Pictures
We went over to Powell River for Thanksgiving and had some family pictures done for Grandma and Grandpa's 30th Wedding Anniversary. As you can see, there were quite a few that turned out really nice. We used a photographer who did the session for a flat rate and gave us cd's with all the pics so we can get them printed however we want!
5 weeks to go until baby #2 arrives....we had an ultrasound last week and he or she is taking after it's big brother in the size department, already the baby is weighing in at 7lbs 2oz with full term measurements - yikes! hopefully for my sake, he or she arrives early!!

More summer pictures...
Brooklyn and Jacob have been having lot's of play dates. They actually play really well together, when they aren't fighting over toys, but they are learning to work it out and to share.
Brooklyn has tonnes of words and Jacob is picking up on them. He finally says "peas" and "dooda" - which is thank you.
Jacob is obsessed with Great Gramma's shall.
Jacob refused to sleep when it was nap time, so at about 4:45pm, while I was putting dinner together, he curled up on the chair and passed out. I left him there until Dave came home - he couldn't believe it.
Jacob was not a happy camper when he was woken up.
Playing with my cousins at Gramma and Grampa's house.
Ericka and Xander dressed up in costumes and were running around the yard....suddenly Jacob decided that he was absolutely terrified of Ericka in her tiger costume and we heard a blood currdiling (sp?) "Mommmmmmyyyyyy" - it was hillarious. So that's it for updated pictures. I will try to stay more current. Who knows when i'll find the time once the new baby arrives?!
Talk to you all soon.

The much awaited update...
Dave went away on his annual fishing trip so Jenna nd I, with the help of Michael, re-did Jacob's bedroom.
New paint, carpet, drapes, ceiling fan and his own "big boy" bed...lol...he's probably the only toddler with a queensize bed.
The old room. Yuck.
Jacob helping. He is a crazy climber!! Dave was cleaning the gutters at the front of the house, I ran inside for 1 second and all of a sudden, dave felt little hands on his legs- dave totally froze and starting yelling for me...it didn't scare of phase Jacob at all.
"Mr. Buckethead"

Savary Island - August - Jacob and Little Missy
Chillin on the beach with Grandma Dar.

Jacob and his girlfriend Rhyan! he just loves babies...we'll see how long that lasts! These are just a few of the pictures from our busy summer. I was updating the blog while Jacob and Brooklyn were asleep, but now they're awake and ready for lunch so I promise i'll add more later.

Our Trip to the U.S.A.
Dave was so amazed that they drove on the beach, that he had to take a picture of his truck! lol
Our final night of our trip, we decided to make it a good one and stayed at Great Wolf Lodge, located just south of Olympia.
The line-up to check in...luckily we got a room!
60,000sq.ft waterpark located inside our hotel!!We took a little road trip this past longweekend. We did a lot of driving, a little shopping, and had major issues finding places to stay, but all-in-all, it was nice to have some time away, just the 3 of us!!
