Dr's Appointment Update

So I took Jacob to see Dr.Schulson yesterday and he checked his lungs and said that they are clear. He said that his cough sounds fluidy because his sinuses are plugged and it's going down his throat because he doesn't know how to blow his nose. I'm relieved that his lungs are clear and his cough now seems to be calming down.

I've been getting quite a few emails from people saying that they can't figure out how to register for a google account, i'm going to try and figure out how to do it and then I will post what I find out.

Mel and Lanny took possession of their first home yesterday!! It's going to be quite a bit of work but so exciting because it's their own! Congratulations guys!!

Uncle Danny and Jen are coming to visit this weekend...wait until you guys see him, he's huge!!

Jacob was so funny last night, he was sitting on my knees and I was making gurgily noises at him and he was replying and talking back to me...we were laughing so hard, it was totally cute!!

Anyways, I need to get the spare room cleaned up for Danny and Jen, it will probably take me all week! lol

Jacob's first cold :(

So Jacob has his first cold and it sucks!! He started coughing on saturday afternoon and it is the saddest thing you'll ever hear...he coughs so hard he starts to choke. I'm taking him to the doctor today at 3pm...it sounds really phlemy(spelling?) so hopefully it's nothing serious. He doesn't have a fever and he isn't too cranky so i'm sure it will be fine, i'll keep you all updated.

We had a busy day yesterday, doing some shopping for Dave and we went to look at a new washer and dryer 'cause mine are crap...now i just have to convince Dave that they will be worth the money!! I think they will be especially because I'm doing laundry every single day 'cause my machine can only handle small loads. We looked at the Kenmore frontloaders which will conserve water, energy and can handle about 3 of my loads at one time - not to mention clean our clothes without wrecking them!! I'm currently "fundraising" for my new set, ie: selling stuff around my house inorder to pay for the new ones. I sold the clothe diapers that I bought and didn't use, i'm selling my fish tank, futon, old washer and drier and a bunch of other random stuff. Let me know if you're interested in any of the above!! lol...Gen thinks that i'm hillarious for "fundraising" but it is better than getting into more debt...i do think the new machines would be worth the debt though.

Dave had a 4 hour fire call last night, he didn't get home until 1am...poor guy...he's exhausted today!!We're sure lucky that he works so hard for us....cross you fingers that his dedication pays off with a permanent job soon!!!

Well, my son just filled his diaper so i'll post some pictures and get back to work!! Well he doesn't look like the happiest baby in these pics but check out those blue eyes!!

Update #4

Hey guys...so Jacob had an interesting night at Grama Di and Grampa Jim's...within 1.5 hours he filled his diaper, puked all over grama, started choking, had a crying fit and fell asleep...poor grama and grampa!! lol Yesterday we went to Vancouver for the day to visit a friend from Oregon and her little guy who is 9 months, I'll post pictures of the 2 of them when I get them, they were pretty cute. Unforntunately, I forgot to bring a stroller or snuggily and had to pack "little" Jake for 3 hours of shopping on Robson, my poor shoulders. I packed 2 bags, including about 10 outfits because you never know how much stuff he's going to go through, sure enough, he wore the same onsie and outfit all day- go figure!! For those of you who live in Van, don't be mad at us, we headed over on the 6:30am ferry and came back on the 5:00pm...sorry that we didn't have more time to visit more people... sorry Sar...I felt especially guilty because we were right up the street from your house but you were at work!! Dave, Jake and I will be heading over for a weekend in Van probably in March so we can do some visiting. Hey, I forgot to mention that Dave is famous today...he's on the front page of today's Nanaimo Daily News for the Coastguard. I tried to find the picture to post but couldn't get it...check out the paper if you can!!

8 weeks old today...

Wow, I can't even believe that it was 8 weeks ago today that Jacob was born...we had just gotten home right about now...time sure flies. Jacob is still growing like a weed, i know that he isn't going to stop but i'm hoping that he's going to slow down some time soon as he is now fitting into his 6 month sleepers. I suspect that he is starting to teeth, he's cranky, likes to gnaw on my fingers and he's drooling lot's...that will just be crazy if his teeth come in already!!

We went to Uncle Jordan and Auntie Jess's house for yummy homemade suishi last night!! Thanks guys, it was delicious.

Today we're going to meet Dr. Schulson for the first time and tonight Grama Diana and Grampa Jim are looking after Jacob for the first time so I can take Jada to puppy classes and Dave can go to a fire meeting. Wish them luck!!

Anyways, I should go have a shower before Jacob wakes up.

Our First Entry

Okay, okay..so i finally started up Jacob's blog page, things take me a little longer than usual these days. Now all of you can check in on our "little" man whenever you like. Now the trick will be for me to actually post entries! Anyways, Jacob is doing good. He's having some sleep issues though...he's decided that he no longer takes 3 hour naps during the day...this is making him quite cranky. We went to our last midwifes appointment on Monday and Jacob weighed in at a staggering 14lbs 8oz...no this is not a typo...he's huge!! He's smiling and cooing lot's. We went to the gym for the first time today and I took a yoga class, Jacob hung out in the daycare...I had to tend to him twice and the second time we just went home 'cause he was too fussy. Anyways, Jesse and I are going to take Jacob to do some running around. Hope that you all enjoy his page!! xo wendy and jacob
