Chillin at home....

The boys lounging in there house coats!

The beautiful cake that Gen made!

Taylor is now over 14lbs and wearing 6 month clothes at just over 7 weeks old. Life is back to normal after the holidays and we're getting back to our normal daily routine. It's been a bit of an adjustment with the new babe, but we're just lucky that he's such a mellow guy and all he seems to do is eat, sleep and grow. Dave and Jacob have been going swimming on the weekends and they even tried skating, which Jacob wasn't a fan of.

Jenna, Gen and Sheena threw Taylor a baby shower at Jenna's house which was very nice of them! Thank you to everyone who came out - can you believe that it snowed again!! I finally got my car out to drive over and then got it stuck there and could bring it home for 3 days 'cause once again there was nowhere to park! lol

New Years on Savary

Self portrait, it was so windy we practically got blown over! Jacob had lot's of fun though, running after the birds.

I love this one..."payback big brother"

We headed over to Savary for New Years on Dec 27th, after waiting 12+ hours for the ferry, due to a breakdown, we finally made it over on Dec 28th and spent the week relaxing. Taylor is growing like a weed and Jacob is being a very good big brother!

Christmas 2008 - better late than never!

We had Christmas at home this year, with Grandma and Granpa Fair and Uncle Danny. We went to Grama and Grampa Warwicks for Christmas dinner, which was a gong show with all of the kids. And we spent Boxing Day at Nana and Grampa's and had a visit with Great Gramma...busy, busy, busy.
Prior to Christmas, on Dec 21st, we had a major flood in our basement which was not very much fun and we are still trying to get things fixed. Then after Christmas, Dec 27th, our gutters starting falling off of our house due to all of the snow and ice...i think i'd like to move somewhere warm!!!

Well I must be psychic!!!

So after completing my last blog entry, I woke up at 5:30am the next morning in labour!! Woohoo...2 days early!!! Taylor Evan Fair was born November 29th, 2008 at 1:48pm!

He's doing awesome and growing like a weed, as only my kids can do!! Jacob is a very loving big brother, almost too loving, and he doesn't really understand his own strength so at times he can be a bit rough with the little guy!!

The past couple weeks have been a big adjustment, but we're starting to get the hang of it. It's amazing how fast Jacob has grown up in just the past 2 weeks, his words are really coming along, he'll copy any word you ask him to try; he's also started to pee on the potty!! I've been plying him with popsicles and gummy bears and it seems to be working!!

2 Years Old - Where does the time go??

Jacob's Elmo Cake - so cute, but lot's of work to ice!!
Jacob and James - finally calm!!

Helping Mom make the icing!

Jacob is obsessed with hats.

Wow, I can't believe our little man is 2 years old!!! I just finished updating his baby book...only took me 2 years to get it done...it was crazy to look through the pics and i was checking through his blog to add some info...good thing I was a better blogger back then!! Who has the time now with a crazy busy 2 year old and another due any minute...maybe it will be tonight as i'm finally feeling like i have everything done and ready!

Jacob had a very low-key b-day...we had dinner and cake at home with Grandma & Grandpa Warwick, Auntie Jess, Uncle Kyle, Auntie Michelle and James...Next year we'll have a bigger party, but for this year, low-key was perfect!!

Hmmmm....I used to write way more details about what was going on in Jacob's life...he's now 36lbs, wearing size 3 clothes...he loves to go out with Dave in the "gar..."which actually means truck or car, Dave and Uncle Jordan have been taking him up the mountain for "man time" which Jacob absoluetly loves! He's been out to chop wood and go fishing, and if you ask him if he wants to do either of these things, he goes "yaaaa" with great enthusiasm - so cute!!

He's still a crappy sleeper, but we continue to work on this...Dave had the brilliant idea to turn his door knob backwards so we can lock it from the outside and Jacob can't get out of his room and we don't have to stand their holding the door shut!! Nice work Dave!! I only plan to use this new locking system when he refuses to stay in his bed, ie: when he wakes up in the middle of the night and doesn't go back to sleep...wish us luck!

We've got our Christmas tree up already, we went out to Gogo's last Sunday and we were the only ones there...I asked Dave if he asked if we were the first in Nanaimo to get our tree (haha) but the guy said it had been busy on Saturday...this is the earliest that we've ever gotten our tree but i'm kind of on a "have to get everything ready" kick!!

Well, the camcorder is charged, extra batteries for the digital are packed, mine and the baby's bag is packed, the house is pretty clean and stocked with food, and we won't be having 2 babies with the same birthday, so hopefully we'll have the baby any day now...wishful thinking i'm sure!!!

Hopefully next time I blog it will be with a baby announcement!!

Halloween and a few more...

Jacob, Erika & Xander...

Taking a bath?!

Mine, mine, mine...lol

Jacob's new Sizzle and Grill kitchen...

Our Halloween was pretty low-key this year. We didn't go trick or treating and Jacob wore Spiderman P.J.'s instead of a costume. Jacob handed out the candy for us, i kept saying "put one in the bag" and he would go "more, more" and add extras! Erika and Xander stopped by and we decided to go nextdoor to the neighbours, Jacob had lot's of fun, and i felt kinda bad having not taken him anywhere so we decided to go to Grama and Grampa's with his cousins. You would have thought he had been eating candy all night, he was so hyper and excited, it was hillarious.
We bought Jacob a kitchen for his b-day/ christmas present...no sense waiting to set it up!! He loves it. He takes all sorts of bowls, etc from my kitchen and puts them in their to cook with.
3 weeks and 5 days until baby #2 is due!!! Not that i'm counting!? lol
Talk to you all later
